Economy, culture and education

Ede local council has been stimulating and supporting Van Gogh’s Taste since 2015. The projects are designed to contribute to the development of day excursions and longer-stay tourism, as well as Ede’s economic development. The local council welcomes initiatives which offer a stimulus for local cultural life. Van Gogh’s Taste also offers space for a range of educational projects at all levels, aimed at encouraging and stimulating knowledge in the areas of healthy eating, nature and culture.

NATURE, CULTURE AND FOOD

The combination of nature, culture and food provides an increasing draw for visitors from near and far to Ede and the Veluwe area. The principal gems include the Kröller-Müller Museum and the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Ede is the location for a rising number of food events, from the ‘Fresh Marketer of the Year’ awards and ‘Food Unplugged’ to a festival celebrating unprocessed foods and the ‘Ede Capital of Taste’ event.
The introduction of Van Gogh’s Taste pools the stronger points Ede has to offer its residents, visitors and companies. Nature, culture and food are blended to become an exhilarating experience to be enjoyed by everyone.
